Launchpad Fund 2024

Horizons Launchpad Fund has today announced awards totalling over £55,000 to thirty-three emerging artists across Wales. Horizons Launchpad Fund is part of Horizons – a partnership between 主播大秀 Cymru Wales and Arts Council of Wales - investing in and platforming original Welsh music talent.

Funding is offered to support the work of talent from across the country and spanning the entire spectrum of the music scene in Wales.

The recipients include a strong contingent of artists from MOBO genres, rock and pop artists, talented Welsh language music acts and exciting new artists who are gaining recognition and growing their audiences on stage and on record.

The thirty-three recipients of Horizons Launchpad 2024 funding are: Alimish, Asha Jane, Cai Ham, Conrad Stone, Eve a Sera, Ffenest, Foxxglove, Gwenno Morgan, Half Happy, Heddlu, Ivor Woods, KINGKHAN, Kitty, Lila Zing, Lily Beau, Local, Lo-Fi Jones, Mared, Mellt, Mirari, Muriel, NoGood Boyo, Papa Jupe's T.C., PARCS, Part Time Signals, Pastel, Pys Melyn, Rona Mac, Siula, Slate, Small Miracles, Tom Auton and WRKHOUSE.

Since its inception nearly ten years ago, Horizons Launchpad Fund has been granted to approximately 300 artists, from over 60 different Welsh cities and towns, investing £400,000 in the Welsh music ecosystem. The funds for Horizons Launchpad are made possible through the National Lottery, allocated by Arts Council of Wales.

Many have been supported in their creative work with the fund enabling them to spend time in a studio, commission photography and artwork, for the promotion of releases, equipment, video production and touring costs. For the thirty-three artists awarded funding this year this is a key moment in their journey and a step closer to other Horizons support including artist development, promotion and showcases sets at festivals and broadcast opportunities with 主播大秀 Radio Wales and Radio Cymru.

The 2024 Horizons Launchpad Fund recipients were selected by a panel of music industry personnel from Wales.
