Animation. Meet Maya and Miguel Santos, ten-year-old bilingual twins. This duo is convinced that there is nothing they can't do, fix, improve or invent for their family and friends Chrissy, Tito, Maggie, Theo, Andy, and not forgetting their family pet parrot Paco. Ultimately, Maya's well-intended meddling in her family's and friends' lives leads her to create new quandaries to fix, often dragging her twin, Miguel, into her schemes.

Abuela's old friend from Mexico, Carlota, cancels a planned visit and Abuela is heartbroken. Or at least that's how she seems to Maya. To cheer her up, Maya, Miguel, and friends decide to make a secret 'surprise' video of 'A Day in the Life' of their grandmother. But unfortunately their amateur efforts at documentary go awry when they keep losing track of their star in her travels through their neighbourhood.
