Joining Sue MacGregor are five people who remember the epic crisis that hit the Royal Opera House. Sir Jeremy Isaacs, general director of the Royal Opera House from 1988 to the end of 1996. Nicholas Payne, Director of Opera between 93 and 98. Chris Smith, now Lord Smith, Culture Secretary between 97 and 2001. Architect Sir Jeremy Dickson, who designed the transformation of the Opera House building, and the dancer and now creative director of ROH2 at the Royal Opera House, Deborah Bull.
