From the Royal Albert Hall, London. Presented by Louise Fryer.

Prefaced by highly-charged words from the Song of Solomon, Vaughan Williams's Flos Campi features a solo viola accompanied by orchestra and wordless chorus. Well known for his advocacy of British music, this evening's conductor - Richard Hickox - also directs Nigel Osborne's Flute Concerto in celebration of the composer's sixtieth birthday and with a Radio 3 New Generation Artist as soloist.
