She was famous for her marriage to the young Roger Moore, her notorious court cases, her outrageous behaviour and powerful voice. Her glittering, yet tragic, life began in 1915 in Pontyberem and ended in the Rhondda Valley, where she lived out her final days in a home provided by one of her greatest fans.
