Leoni Sheedie works for Care Leavers Of Australia Network and Laurie Humphreys was just 13 in 1947 when he made the journey from his orphanage near Southampton to Australia.

Prime Minister Gordon Brown will issue a formal apology to the British children who were shipped out of British care homes and orphanages between 1945 and 1967. Leoni Sheedie works for Care Leavers Of Australia Network, a group which helps people who grew up in orphanages, children's homes or in foster care.

Western diplomats in Afghanistan say they are concerned about a decree from President Hamid Karzai which gives him complete control over a key election body. Peter Galbraith, former UN deputy special envoy in Afghanistan, tells us his concerns.
