Faye learns she is expecting a boy and tries to keep the peace between Joseph and Linden. Annalese tells Michael their marriage is over.
Faye secretly has the CVS test to discover the sex of her baby. She fears the results - if it's a boy there's a 50% chance he'll have Lowe's syndrome. Joseph wants to be a part of his baby's life no matter what. Linden is furious he's being excluded from these decisions. Tension in theatre between the two men forces Faye to put her foot down at last.
Penny angrily rebuffs Oliver's attempts to make peace and the two become involved in a game of 'pass the patient' which doesn't please either of their Consultants. When the patient goes into crisis, will they see the error of their ways?
Michael and Annalese have one last attempt at saving their marriage but find themselves saving the life of their counsellor instead. Will Michael go back to his hotel alone?
