The North West's wild weather comes under scrutiny from Dianne Oxberry. She looks at how the weather affects our region, discovering how dangerous it can be and what we can do to prepare for the extremes. Dianne meets people who've experienced wild weather - from freak hailstorms and unseasonable snow, to a woman who survived lightning strike in the Lake District.

In her journey to fully appreciate extreme events, Dianne is frozen, soaked and blasted by hurricane force winds. She reports from the wildest place in the region and catches up with people at the centre of the devastating flooding in Cumbria. Looking to the future, Dianne tries to predict how climate change will affect the way we live.
