Gareth Thomas

Former Wales dual-code international Gareth Thomas tells Mark Pougatch about his career in rugby union and SuperLeague, and looks to the future.

When Wales international Gareth Thomas announced in October his retirement from all forms of rugby, his agent said the news marked "the end of a remarkable career for a remarkable person."

The former British and Irish Lions captain made his rugby union Test debut in 1995. He has also played for Bridgend, Cardiff RFC and Cardiff Blues, Celtic Warriors and Toulouse, where he won the 2005 Heineken Cup. He switched codes from rugby union to Super League two years ago.

In conversation with 5 live Sport's Mark Pougatch, the former dual-code international talks about his career and how he'll spend his retirement.
