Kenny Dalglish's Liverpool host Manchester City at Anfield - a mouthwatering meeting between two of the league's 'superpowers'. Roberto Mancini's side were on the wrong end of a 3-0 defeat the last time they visited Anfield in April as Andy Carroll announced his arrival on Merseyside with two goals. But it is the men from Manchester who are among the favourites to win the title after an impressive start.
In the day's other game, Alex McLeish takes his Aston Villa side to promoted Swansea City for the first match between the two sides since 1983.
