Derbyshire is the destination for Nick Knowles and the DIY SOS team as they travel to Chesterfield to help Lisa and Richard Watson and their young family. Their daughter Madison was born with a heart defect and a rare eating disorder that requires 24-hour care from Lisa.
Richard is a builder who began an extension to their home to accommodate his expanding family. But even though he's been working up to 18 hours a day, he has been unable to get any further than the shell of the new rooms. The situation is putting an immense strain on the family.
The support Nick Knowles and the team receive from the building trade and local community is as strong as ever, but it is a big build to fit into ten days.
