David Cameron's in South East Asia talking tough on authoritarian regimes. Do we have a moral duty to encourage democracy or is it just political grandstanding?

David Cameron's in South East Asia and he's been talking tough on authoritarian regimes. He wants to "tighten the noose" on President Assad.... And he's warning a North Korean Missile test would be "unacceptable" ....

Do we have a moral duty to encourage democracy, to stand up to dictators? Or is it just political grandstanding? Should we be keeping our noses out and focussing instead on what's happening at home? Leave the world stage to the real world leaders - the Americans?
