Tinariwen in session

Cerys celebrates thirty years of the Womad Festival with Womad veterans and Grammy Award-winners Tinariwen in session.

Cerys helps celebrate Womad Festival's 30th anniversary this year with the kings of desert blues, Tinariwen, in session.

The internationally lauded Tuareg band began life as a group of freedom fighters, eventually exchanging politics for music via Mali's Festival au D猫sert.

Their fifth album, Tassili, was released in 2011 and later won the Award for Best World Music Album at the 54th Grammy Awards.
