With a career spanning five decades, Jocelyn Brown is the ultimate dance diva.

From her beginnings singing with such iconic bands as Musique and Change in the 70s, or as session vocalist for John Lennon, Chic, Luther Vandross and Bette Midler, Jocelyn's power-house vocals have always ensured that you know when she is in the building!

The early 80s saw Jocelyn working extensively with Eurodance legend Cerrone and also Patrick Adam's Inner Life, whilst her mid-80s solo career delivered the classic Somebody Else's Guy, Love's Gonna Get You - another solo cut from that era - would go on to inspire two 90s dance anthems - Snap!'s The Power and Bizarre Inc's I'm Gonna Get You.

Jocelyn's collaborations during the 90s resulted in some of the best-loved dance records of that era, from Incognito's Always There, through Todd Terry's Something Goin' On and Keep On Jumping, Nuyorican Soul's It's Alright, I Feel It and I Am The Black Gold Of The Sun, and ending the decade with 1999's euphoric Believe alongside Ministers-De-La-Funk.

Entering the fifth decade of her career, Jocelyn continues to perform and record, recently revisiting the rare groove sound with producer Soulpersona.

Tonight, in a special programme, we devote the whole second hour of Dance Years to this hugely revered artist, as Jocelyn joins Dave to share her favourite dance tunes, and personal highlights of her career over the years.
