With the help of AJ's meddling, the Masoods' New Year's Eve party goes off with a bang and Ayesha is left worse for wear when she takes a liking to the fruit punch.

Phil tells Lola Jay and Cora can be godparents. Lexi gets a rash. Phil discovers it鈥檚 from the cream Lola put on Lexi. He shouts at her, implying she shouldn鈥檛 get Lexi back. Jack鈥檚 sickened, telling Sharon Phil鈥檚 a bully. Sharon asks Jack, then Phil, to celebrate New Year Eve鈥檚 at the Vic tonight. Phil tells Sharon Peggy鈥檚 not coming to the christening 鈥 because of her. Phil apologises to Lola and Billy. Sharon kisses Phil鈥檚 cheek, whilst Jack watches, vexed. As everyone counts down to midnight, Phil tells Jack: 鈥榯his time next year Sharon will be mine.鈥

Zainab tells AJ he better help make her party the party of the century and get Tamwar and Ayesha together. AJ spikes the cherryade with alcohol and tells guests to arrive in fancy dress. Ian, Denise, Patrick, Kim and AJ get drunk. Denise says Zainab can have her job back. Ayesha drinks the spiked cherryade and gets drunk. Tamwar looks after her whilst she鈥檚 sick. Zainab, oblivious to Ayesha鈥檚 intoxication, thinks they鈥檙e getting together. Shirley leaves with stolen food. Fatboy takes a phone call for Zainab 鈥 someone鈥檚 coming tomorrow 鈥 and leaves the Masoods a note. Masood makes a public announcement to the delighted guests 鈥 the registry office has confirmed their wedding date: Valentine鈥檚 Day.

The police arrive at the Butchers鈥. Bianca tells Carol about Derek鈥檚 dodgy goods. Carol questions if Liam鈥檚 involvement is over. Liam swears it is. Liam overhears Carol and Bianca praising him, and texts Michael, telling him to keep the stuff; he鈥檚 out. Meanwhile at the boxing gym, Michael breaks into Derek鈥檚 lock box, discovering it鈥檚 full of cash. Alice arrives at the Butchers鈥 in time for New year.

Alfie asks delighted Roxy to move in with him. Kat overhears, gutted.

Kirsty rejects Michael鈥檚 advances, despite looking lonely come the midnight countdown.
