Episode 5

Jools is joined by Queens of the Stone Age, Texas, Lulu James, Patty Griffin, Peace and Katmen. Deep Purple's Ian Gillan and Ian Paice talk about their 19th studio album.

Jools is joined by Californian rock force Queens of the Stone Age, who have roared back to life in 2013 and return to the studio with tunes from their first record in six years, ...Like Clockwork.

Marking their 25th anniversary this year and having recently reunited after a six-year break, platinum selling Glaswegian pop-rockers Texas return to the show to perform songs from their new album The Conversation. South Shields singer Lulu James makes her TV debut, bringing her brand of 21st-century soul to the studio, and American singer-songwriter Patty Griffin performs a track from her seventh album American Kid, a record she says 'was written to honour her father'. She is joined by Robert Plant, who she has recently been performing with as a member of his Band Of Joy.

Hotly tipped Birmingham indie quartet Peace make their first TV appearance, with tunes from their debut LP In Love. Four decades since they first set the mould for heavy metal, Deep Purple's Ian Gillan and Ian Paice chat to Jools about their 19th studio album Now What?!, and carrying on the legacy of the iconic band.

And making their TV debut is rockabilly supergroup Katmen, a transatlantic collaboration between acclaimed American Stray Cats drummer Slim Jim Phantom and UK rock 'n' rollers guitarist Darrel Higham and bassist Al Gare.
