Cattiness In The Boardroom & In Business

In the latest series of The Apprentice, the 鈥榞irls鈥 team have been portrayed squabbling and vying against each other. The third episode of You鈥檙e Fired discussed their 'catty' behaviour, and yet it鈥檚 not the first series in which the female candidates have been portrayed this way. So what鈥檚 going on? Do women really behave like this when working and competing together in business? Or is there an issue with the TV casting, editing, and overall portrayal of these women? To discuss Samira Ahmed is joined by ex-Apprentice runner-up Saira Khan, TV Executive Lorraine Heggessey, and by Professor of Organisational Behaviour, specialising in women at work, Professor Sharon Mavin of Newcastle Business School.

Jewellery

Jewellery
The idea of commissioning a piece of jewellery sounds like a costly luxury. But it needn't be if what is precious is not the materials, but perhaps the meaning behind the piece. Judi Herman was there when Yuko Yama took delivery of the gold pendant she commissioned from designer Ruth Tomlinson, as a reminder of living in London as she returns to Tokyo.
