Do we risk arming the opposition in Syria, only for them to get into the hands of more extreme groups? Will it all come back to haunt us?
The EU has decided it will lift an embargo on supplying arms to opposition forces in Syria. But are we opening up the flood gates and giving weapons to the wrong people? In the past the Uk's helped arm Saddam Hussein's regime in Iraq, we've also supported the Mujahadeen in Afghanistan. But hindsight is a wonderful thing.
