Labour announce that if they were in government, OAPs paying the higher rate of tax would lose their Winter Fuel Payment. Labour MP Peter Hain tells Shelagh it's a bad idea.

Ed Balls tells us that Winter Fuel Payments to better off pensioners would be axed under a Labour government, but the former cabinet minister Peter Hain says it's a slippery slope that will lead to other universal benefits being cut. The coalition promises to introduce a statutory register of lobbyists, but one industry insider says the problem lies not with them, but with politicians.
