In 2009 a group of fame obsessed Los Angeles teenagers were arrested for a spate of robberies across celebrity homes. Paris Hilton, Lindsay Lohan, Megan Fox and Orlando Bloom were all targeted and the gang stole more than three million pounds worth of luxury goods.听 The story became a leading feature in Vanity Fair magazine and is now the subject of a new movie from director Sofia Coppola. Called The Bling Ring, it received rave reviews at Cannes Film Festival earlier this year.听

Sean Foley director of The Ladykillers
The 1955 Ealing Studios production of The Ladykillers is one of the best loved British screenplays, with notable performances from the likes of Alec Guinness and Peter Sellers. Nearly 60 years on, the black comedy has rekindled its success, but this time on the stage. The story of sweet old Mrs Wilberforce caught up in the activities of a disguised gang is opening for another season, injecting the old comedy with a new element of slapstick farce.听Director Sean Foley

1. Charlie and the Chocolate Factory The听big new musical based on the Roald Dahl story about the boy who wins a Golden ticket to tour Willy Wonka's Chocolate Factory. Sam Mendes directs, Mark Thompson designs and Douglas Hodge plays the eccentric Willy.

2. Macbeth This isn't the first time they've done Shakespeare's Scottish play at the Globe. What makes this production unusual is that it's directed by Eve Best who's more used to performing at the Globe. The two leads are here played by Joseph Millson and Samantha Spiro.
