Why David Cameron has hired President Obama's campaign director, and how 'big data' could transform UK elections. Plus, former Doctor Who Colin Baker on the new Doctor.

The Conservative Party has hired Jim Messina, described as "the most powerful person in Washington you've never heard of". He used to be President Obama's campaign director. David Cameron hopes this new US import will use "big data" techniques to mobilise voters here, the way he energised Americans to back Barack. But what is "big data" and how come this US Democrat isn't helping Labour?

Also - as the new governor of the Bank of England, Mark Carney, prepares for his first public pronouncement, we hear what he's going to do differently from his predecessor.

And - former Doctor Who Colin Baker talks about the latest incumbent of the Tardis.
