Live from the Royal Albert Hall, London, Petroc Trelawny presents a Prom in which Andris Nelsons conducts the City of Birmingham Symphony Orchestra in Dvorak's Symphony No 8 in G.

The CBSO under Andris Nelsons, live at the 主播大秀 Proms with Kristine Opolais singing music by Verdi and Tchaikovsky. Also orchestral works by Dvorak and Strauss.

Andris Nelsons (conductor)

The City of Birmingham Symphony Orchestra under its Music Director, conductor Andris Nelsons, accompany soprano Kristine Opolais in the Willow Song and Ave Maria from Verdi's Otello, as well as in the Letter Scene from Tchaikovsky's Eugene Onegin. But first, Dvorak's Symphony No. 8; and at the end two orchestral pieces by Johann Strauss II: the Emperor Waltz and the Thunder and Lightning polka.

An edited version of this Prom will be broadcast on Thursday 22nd August at 2pm.
