Manic Street Preachers in session for Lauren Laverne
Lauren welcomes Manic Street Preachers to Maida Vale for day four of 6 Music Live.
This week Lauren Laverne presents 6 Music Live at Maida Vale featuring live performances from a stellar line-up of bands from those who form the core heritage backbone of 主播大秀 6 Music, to newer artists who have been championed by the network. This morning, Manic Street Preachers perform live at Maida Vale.
It is now 25 years since the Manics released their first single, Suicide Alley, and still today they remain one of the most respected bands in the country. Their eleventh studio album, Rewind The Film, which is released in September finds the band in startling form and today they will perform both new and old tracks in today's show. Frontman James Dean Bradfield recently presented The Freak Zone on the network, cementing the band's relationship with the station.
Listeners can watch Lauren's show live at bbc.co.uk/6music from 10am-1pm each day. And the performance will be broadcast live on the Red Button from 12-1pm, with highlights from 7pm.
