The Hunger Games: Catching Fire begins as Katniss Everdeen winning the 74th Annual Hunger Games along with fellow tribute Peeta Mellark. Winning means that they must turn around and leave their family and close friends, embarking on a Victors' Tour of the districts. Along the way Katniss senses that a rebellion is simmering, but the Capitol is still very much in control as President Snow prepares the 75th Annual Hunger Games (The Quater Quell), a competition that could change Panem forever.听

4.听 The Wolverine DVD

Iain Glenn and Richard McCabe talk to Claudia about their new play Fortune's Fool.

The story is set at a country estate run by a penniless gentleman, played by Iain. Richard is his wealthy, mischievous neighbour who pops round for a seemingly innocent lunch...of course, that is only half the story!

Fortune's Fool runs at London's Old Vic Theatre from the 6th December - 22nd February 2014

Three Brothers follows the fortunes of Harry, Daniel and Sam Hanway, born on a post-war council estate in Camden Town. The Shadow of the Crescent Moon by Fatima Bhutto, published by Viking

The story begins and ends one rain swept Friday morning in Mir Ali, a small town in Pakistan's Tribal Areas close to the Afghan border. Three brothers meet for breakfast. Soon after, the eldest, hails a taxi to the local mosque. The second, a doctor, goes to check in at his hospital. His troubled wife does not join the family that morning. And the youngest, the idealist, leaves for town on a motorbike. Three hours later their day will end in devastating circumstances.

The Spectre of Alexander Wolf by Gaito Gazdanov, published by Pushkin Press

A man comes across a short story which recounts in minute detail his killing of a soldier, long ago-from the victim's point of view. It's a story that should not exist, and whose author can only be a dead man. So begins the strange quest for the elusive writer "Alexander Wolf". This is a psychological thriller and existential inquiry into guilt and redemption, coincidence and fate, love and death.

Theatre: Frank Langella plays King Lear at the Minerva Theatre in Chichester until 30th November. It鈥檚 also the last chance to catch the touring production of the Suitcase looking at the thousands of children who were brought to the UK before the First World War. It'll be at Bristol and Southampton railway stations this week.

Fashion: The Design Museum on the Southbank in London is celebrating the life and designs of one of the world鈥檚 leading fashion designers Paul Smith.听 Hello My Name is Paul Smith runs until 9th Mar.

Comedy: Lucy Porter explores her northern roots in her one woman show Northern Soul at the Alnwick Playhouse and Arts Centre in Northumberland and then touring until November 28th.

Art: Fans of live drawing should check out the new body art exhibition at the Birmingham Museum and Art Gallery. It features work from the masters including Lucian Freud, Barbara Hepworth and Francis Bacon. Runs until November 30th.

Dance: The English National Ballet kicks off the Christmas dance season with The Nutcracker at the Empire in Liverpool on 23rd November before heading down to the Coliseum in London in December.
