Crime in England and Wales has fallen to its lowest level for more than 30 years, according to an official survey.

Overall crime in England and Wales has fallen to its lowest level since Crime Survey records began more than 30 years ago. The figures, published by the Office for National Statistics, are based on people's experience of crime, but police figures show a smaller drop in crime.

David Cameron says an international quota system for refugees from Syria won't solve the crisis.

And hundreds of residents in Berkshire have been unable to flush their loos for up to three weeks as a result of heavy rain.
