Nicola Meighan sits in

Nicola Meighan sits in for Janice Forsyth and talks to Jacqueline Wilson and Colm Toibin, and hears about an Alasdair Gray retrospective. Plus live music from RM Hubbert.

Nicola Meighan talks to leading children's author Jacqueline Wilson on the publication of her 100th book.

A major new retrospective of Alasdair Gray's art has opened at the Kelvingrove in Glasgow. Nicola talks to curator Sorcha Dallas and to Phill and Hope Miller whose portrait features in the exhibition.

Two birthdays are being celebrated today: Walter Scott's novel, Waverley, is 200 years old and Edinburgh became UNESCO city of literature 10 years ago. Passsenger's at Edinburgh's Waverley station are being treated to free copies of the novel to mark both occasions. Jenni Calder and Ali Bowden tell all.

Colm Toibin tells us about his new novel, Nora Webster, and about the film version of his last novel, Brooklyn.

And there's live music from R. M. Hubbert.
