Tate Taylor, director of The Help, discusses his new James Brown biopic Get on Up, plus critics Alistair Harkness and Gavia Baker-Whitelaw discuss the new releases.

Its film review day here in The Culture Studio and Janice Forsyth will be hearing from director, Tate Taylor who will be on hand to discuss his new film Get On Up: the James Brown Story. Continuing our biographical theme, acclaimed filmmaker, Randall Wright offers an insight into his new documentary HOCKNEY - the definitive exploration of one of the most important artists of his generation.

Regular Critics, Alistair Harkness and Gavia Baker-Whitelaw will also be on hand to share their thoughts on this week's big releases including The Hunger Games Mockingjay - Part 1 which finds Katniss Everdeen (Jennifer Lawrence) in 'District 13' after she literally shatters the games forever! and we'll also have a special report on Ayr's Gaiety Theatre and a discussion on 'Teknowomen' - part of the BFI Sci-Fi season - they have teamed up with Glasgow Film Theatre (GFT) to bring us a season of film that charts the depiction of women in Science Fiction, from silent classic Woman in the Moon through to 1980s feminist titles, right up to more recent films.
