Louise White asks why Scotland is so stressed. Figures have revealed an increase in the number of NHS and council employees signed off work for stress-related reasons.

Figures have revealed an increase in the number of Scottish NHS staff being signed off work with mental health problems The health board figures show that in 2013/14, 788 NHS staff were signed off for stress-related reasons for lengthy periods, of between three and six months.
In addition to this, hundreds of council workers have been off work with stress related reasons according to official figures. In Glasgow the number of staff off work for up to one month increased by 17%.
