Oscar nominated Reese Witherspoon talks about her new film Wild based on the bestselling memoir of Cheryl Strayed.

Kate Gross died of colon cancer on Christmas morning. She was 36. Her mum Jean talks about the book Kate has written for her five year old sons Late Fragments: Everything I wanted To Tell You About This Magnificent Life.

Hollywood star Reese Witherspoon and聽American novelist Cheryl Strayed discuss Reese's new film 'Wild', which she also co-produced. 聽The story is based on Cheryl's memoir of聽a 1,100-mile hike across the Pacific Crest Trail - an adventure she embarked upon after the break-up of her marriage. 聽

This Girl Can

There are two million fewer women playing sport once a week than there are men.聽today launch an advertising campaign to try to address that imbalance.聽聽is aimed at encouraging all women 鈥� irrespective of skill, fitness, size or how little time they have - to take up some sort of physical activity because it鈥檚 fun and life enhancing.聽

We speak to Sport England about the need for the campaign, and Grace Monksfield Hammond, one of the women featuring in it.

Memoir Of Kate Gross

Kate Gross died of cancer on Christmas morning. She was 36, and left behind a husband and five-year-old twin boys. Her mother Jean Gross is fulfilling a promise she made to Kate by joining Jane Garvey to talk about the book Kate wrote for her boys Late Fragments Everything I want to tell you (about this magnificent life).


Debbie Wiseman - Wolf Hall Music

Debbie Wiseman is a film and television composer and trained in formal composition at Guildhall School of Music. She's written well over a hundred scores for TV and film including comedy, romance and action-thriller. 聽Now she鈥檚 turned her considerable talents to historical drama and has composed the music for the forthcoming and highly- anticipated 主播大秀 drama - WOLF HALL - based on the Hilary Mantel novels about Thomas Cromwell鈥檚 relationship with Henry the Eighth. 聽She joins Jane to talk about how crucial music is in recreating the atmosphere of Henry鈥檚 court. 聽
