Life's been far from plain sailing for teenage sweethearts Zoe and Gareth. A few months after their first child was born, tragedy struck when mum Zoe sustained serious back and neck injuries in a car crash.
After Zoe learned to walk again, the couple began discussing their shared dream of moving to Australia. But their plans stalled when Zoe fell pregnant a second time, and son Riley was born with albinism.
Research has since shown the couple that Australia's attitude towards safety in the sun may mean Riley's condition isn't a problem. So after everything they've been through, can they finally make a fresh start with their family on the other side of the world?

Update on the Lloyd family
Gareth and Zoe started investigating the visa process on their return from Australia. It soon became clear, however, that Riley's condition meant the cost of getting appropriate medical tests could become prohibitively expensive. Fearing they could spend a substantial amount of money only for their application to be unsuccessful, the family have decided to stay in the UK for the time being.
Gareth and Zoe have recently purchased a house, and will reconsider emigrating down under once more in around five years time, once Riley has started secondary school. Gareth has started a new job in the Gas industry, which he believes would be in demand in Australia in the future.
The Lloyds hope to visit Adelaide again in the next year or two to get to know the city better.
