The Club was formed in 1980 and Conor McKay went along to meet 3 ex-presidents of the club and the current president, Charlie McDaid for a game of bowls on the green. The club鈥檚 annual open night is on Wednesday 8th April at 6.30pm and they鈥檙e on the look-out for new members.聽

St Michael鈥檚 on the Main Street in the town made headline news around the world when the Queen and Prince Philip crossed the road from St Macartin鈥檚 Cathedral to visit it in 2012. Take a trip down memory lane to a busy market day in 1900s Ulster. Over the Easter weekend you can stroll down Shipbuoy Street and witness the sights, smells and sounds of a busy market with stallholders, shopkeepers, travelling journeymen and entertainers. Toome Fair



For Easter Monday, Toome Fair will see a new look community fair in the village. There will be more events being hosted like Irish dancing, a dog show, static vintage vehicles, bouncy castles, Punch and Judy, face painting and stalls and crafts. But the main attraction will be Hugo Duncan with his outdoor roadshow on the Main Street.聽
