Janice Forsyth meets Scottish theatre's Young Arts Leaders, plus the Plain White T's discuss their new album, and Stanley Odd discuss music and politics and play a session.

Eight promising young people have been named Young Arts Leaders in the world of Scottish theatre. Over the course of a year they'll be mentored by an established professional and given funding to develop a theatre project of their own. Two of them, Stephanie Boyle and Christopher Patrick join us, along with the programme's manager, Claire Bloomfield.

Comedian Jo Jo Sutherland is also helping people get a foothold in the world of performing. She runs stand-up comedy workshops for people with mental health difficulties. Jo Jo and one of her graduates, Stuart Doig, will share their experiences of stand-up.

The Plain White Ts tell us about their new album and single, both out tomorrow.

Paloma Faith has announced that one of the support acts for her next tour will be a political journalist who'll be talking to the audience about the importance of politics. Music journalist Fiona Shepherd will join Stanley Odd's Dave Hook to discuss the intersection of music and politics.

And Stanley Odd will be performing a track or two for us live ahead of their new tour.
