Jonathan Edwards presents live coverage of the Great Manchester Run, Europe's biggest 10K race. Britain's Jo Pavey, twice a winner of this event, will be amongst a high-class women's field. The 41-year-old famously won an inspirational European gold medal last summer, a month after winning Commonwealth bronze. The line-up also includes reigning Olympic and World 5,000m champion Meseret Defar of Ethiopia and Kenya's marathon specialist Edna Kiplagat.

Former Olympic and World 10,000m champion Haile Gebrselassie and Ibrahim Jeilan head the Ethiopian charge in the men's race. They face competition from Kenyan trio Wilson Kipsang - a London Marathon winner - Stephen Sambu and Leonard Komon.

Now in its 13th year, the event also attracts many thousands of fun runners raising money for various charities and good causes.
