On women's semi-finals day last year, eventual winner Petra Kvitova won an all-Czech clash on Centre Court against Lucie Safarova 7-6 6-1. Joining her in the final was Canadian Eugenie Bouchard, who defeated the highest seed left in the draw - Simona Halep.
