The View and Neil Oliver

Janice Forsyth has a live session from Dundee band the View, plus Neil Oliver talks about his first novel, Master of Shadows.

On the show today Dundee band The View are live in Session. Neil Oliver will be talking to Janice about his first novel 'Master of Shadows'. We also have author Sophie Hannah telling Janice about her new thriller 'A Game for All the Family'. Performance artist Caroline Bowditch will be telling us how she fell in love with Frida Kahlo and decided to make a show about her. We'll also be hearing about Kenny Hunter's 'Elephant for Glasgow' (a life size Asian Elephant which has been cast in redundant locomotive parts, originally manufactured on the Clyde). A new George Devlin exhibition is about to open in Edinburgh - George's widow Marie, and critic Jan Patience will be telling us more. Simon Goddard will be telling us about his book 'Rollaresque or The Rakish Progress of the Rolling Stones' which is written in the picaresque tradition. And finally writer Bella Bathurst will be telling us about her latest work in progress, a book about the Picture Post, an influential news magazine founded in 1938.
