Film Day featuring a review of thriller Sicario, plus hear from The Walk director Robert Zemeckis

Janice Forsyth talks to director Robert Zemeckis about his film The Walk, plus Stephen Carty and Ross MacLean review the film along with new releases Sicario and Suffragette.

It's film review day on the afternoon show and Janice will be hearing from legendary director, Robert Zemeckis, who will be discussing The Walk - his new film about the man who walked between the World Trade Centre towers on a tightrope!

Regular Critics, Stephen Carty and Ross MacLean will share their thoughts on the film, and on this week's other big cinema releases: including, Sicario a brutal action thriller and Suffragette - a moving drama exploring the passion and heartbreak of those who risked all they had for women's right to vote - their jobs, their homes, their children, and even their lives.

Later in the show, Janice will launch our first ever 'Poet in Residence' on National Poetry Day! Rachel McCrum launches the role with a performance of her first commission, a poem on the theme of light for National Poetry Day before exploring 'introductions to poetry.'

All that and the redoubtable Brian Blessed discusses his new memoir, Absolute Pandemonium!
