It's Film Review Day and Janice Forsyth discusses Steven Spielberg's Cold War espionage thriller Bridge of Spies, plus there are reviews of Carol and Black Mass.

It's movie review day on The Janice Forsyth Show - we will be discussing Steven Spielberg's Cold War espionage thriller, Bridge of Spies.

Regular Critics, Wendy Lloyd and Ross McLean will be on hand to share their thoughts on it and on this week's other big cinema releases: including, Todd Haynes' critically acclaimed, double Cannes-winning film, Carol - an aching period romance starring Cate Blanchett and Rooney Mara - the director himself will tell us all about it! They will also discuss Black Mass - a film about real life Boston gangster James "Whitey" Bulger starring, Johnny Depp with Benedict Cumberbatch co-starring as his upstanding politician brother.

Later in the show author Robert Sellars discusses his latest book, 'The Secret Life of Ealing Studios: Britain's favourite film studio', Scottish Actor' David Hayman discusses the release on DVD of his classic film A Sense of Freedom and we'll hear all about Hirda - a new opera for Shetland commissioned and produced by NOISE (New Opera In Scotland Events), supported by Creative Scotland.
