As everyone prepares for the outcome of Jade's hearing, Shabnam drops a bombshell. Vincent takes drastic action.

Shirley and Buster are in the caf茅 preparing themselves for the hearing later and Buster reassures Shirley that they will have Jade by the end of the day. They have a run in with Mick and Shirley tells him that he made his choice when he sided with Ronnie. In his frustration and anger Mick lets slip that Shabnam took Jade without the court knowing. In the Minute Mart Shabnam is busy thinking ahead to when she has custody of Jade and starts buying magazines for her. Kush tries to stop her getting carried away. Shabnam apologises to Stacey for yesterday and all is forgiven.

In the Vic, Stacey overhears Mick telling Linda what happened. This could mean that Shabnam loses Jade because of Stacey. Tina visits Buster and Shirley and tries to reason with them, telling them that Mick鈥榮 problem is with Dean not Shirley. Dean arrives and Tina asks Shirley to try and work things out if they do get Jade. Carmel and Masood wish Kush and Shabnam luck for the hearing and Shabnam thanks Masood for everything. Stacey arrives and tells Shabnam that Shirley knows. Shabnam is distraught. Kush, Masood and Carmel overhear them and Shabnam pleads with them to understand.

Masood rounds on Stacey who explains that she just wanted to be sure Shabnam was ready so soon after Zaair鈥檚 death. Shabnam leaves to see Shirley but Kush doesn鈥檛 follow. Carmel asks if he thinks Stacey is right. He says that if this is what Shabnam wants then he will support her. Shabnam pleads with Shirley not to tell the judge and Shirley reminds Masood what he said to her when she went to him about Jade in the first place. Shabnam tells her that she desperately wants her daughter back. Buster tells them all that it鈥檚 time to leave. Kush and Shabnam prepare to leave for court. They sit in the car and Shabnam apologises for not telling him about taking Jade. She explains how she feels about Jade and Zaair. Kush points out that maybe it鈥檚 too soon.

Shirley goes to see Mick in the Vic and says that she wants Jade to be with her because she is the best thing for her, not because of what he let slip. She informs him that Dean and Roxy are moving out. Shabnam enters the pub and tells Shirley that she isn鈥檛 going to fight her for Jade and asks her to promise she will look after her. Masood and Carmel support their decision. Mick sees Shirley and Buster returning from court. They won custody of Jade and Mick starts to ask Shirley something when Dean walks over holding a bottle of champagne. Shabnam visits Stacey in her flat and tells her about her decision and that Stacey was right. Shabnam tells Stacey that she thinks she may be pregnant again.

In the caf茅 Kim suggests paintballing for Vincent鈥檚 Birthday and tells him she had great fun with her ex. Claudette isn鈥檛 impressed but Vincent tells her he鈥檒l think about it. Claudette asks Vincent if they can talk about Phil but Vincent assures her he鈥檚 sorting it. Vincent meets someone in the park and asks why the police aren鈥檛 using the information on Phil that he鈥檚 given them. He is told that it is bigger than just Phil and they will get him when they are ready. Vincent bumps into Claudette and Kim who have decided to throw him a big Birthday party. He tells them to organise it and makes a call asking for a favour. He meets someone in an alleyway and is passed a cloth containing something. It鈥檚 a gun...

Ian asks Kathy to be part of the family business and promises this will be the best Christmas ever. Ian and Kathy sit in the restaurant thinking of promotional ideas and Ian is being his penny-pinching self when Jade comes in with new decorations. Jane tells them that according to Tamwar there isn鈥檛 going to be a Christmas tree in the Square. Ian finds Tamwar in the Vic and he tells them that there was no sponsor for a tree in the Square this year. Ian has an idea and decides to sponsor it himself and announces it to the pub.
