Kathy reels from Jane's confession and vows to support her. Vincent puts the final pieces of his plan in place - is this the end of Phil Mitchell? Denise and Kim come to blows.

Kathy consoles a teary Jane as she admits that she’s worried about Bobby – it’s been one thing after another with his temper. Kathy’s shocked when Jane admits that Bobby went at Phil with a golf club and stresses that she’s concerned she’s burying her head in the sand. An oblivious Ian and Bobby enter and state that they’ve started decorating the Christmas tree – Jane feigns excitement.

Later, Jane sobs to Kathy that she doesn’t think she can ignore Bobby’s temper anymore and questions whether Bobby might need professional help. Kathy sympathises with Jane and admits that she often wonders what would have happened to Ben if she’d have been there for him before he killed Heather. When Jane states that Ben acted out because he was already damaged from going to prison the first time, Kathy is shocked – this is news to her. Jane fills Kathy in – Ben was about fourteen – there was trouble between him and Jordan and Phil told Ben to stand up for himself. Later, Kathy reminds Jane that Bobby is still so young that there’s time for things to turn around for him. Kathy assures Jane that she’ll back her up in giving Bobby tough love. As the Beales’ settle down to a film, Kathy suggests that Ian pop out to get a bottle of wine. Once he leaves, Kathy and Jane tell Bobby that him losing his temper isn’t acceptable. Bobby apologises; Jane’s relieved. After Bobby goes to bed, Jane orders the bike for Bobby that she previously told him he couldn’t have.

Vincent hands Ronnie a bag of drugs – Ronnie panics that she’s about to betray her whole family. Ronnie’s mildly appeased when Vincent agrees that he’ll destroy the recording of her admitting to killing Carl if she pulls off this stunt. It’s Abi’s work Christmas Party at The Albert, and Phil is intent on getting drunk, despite a warning from Ben. Vincent arrives, fronting that he has VAT receipts that he forgot to drop off.

As Vincent goes to leave, he slips a gun into Phil’s coat pocket. Ben finds Ronnie at the Mitchell’s back door, who claims that she wanted to have a word with him about Phil’s drinking. When Ronnie suggests that she and Ben work together, Ben lets her into the house. As Ben makes Ronnie a cup of tea, Ronnie anxiously clocks the safe. As Ronnie heads over to the living room window, she spots Vincent watching her and closes the curtains on him. Ronnie returns to Vincent and tells him that Ben gave her the combination to the safe – the deed is done. Vincent informs Ronnie that the police will need a good reason to attain a warrant to search Phil’s, before calling the police and telling them that he’s seen Phil Mitchell heading into The Albert with a firearm; Ronnie’s stunned. Ronnie hurries into the Albert and finds the gun in Phil’s jacket pocket. Arthur clocks Ronnie removing the gun.

As Ronnie scurries away, armed police turn up at the bar. Vincent answers the door to a frantic Arthur, panicking that the police have turned up at The Albert. Vincent’s frantic when Arthurs states that he saw Ronnie leave with a gun. Arthur clocks that Vincent knew about the gun; Vincent assures him that everything is under control and asks him to leave. Vincent barges into Ronnie’s and is met by an anxious Honey who doesn’t know where Ronnie is. Vincent returns home to the sight of Ronnie smashing up his laptop, claiming that she wanted to make sure there were no recordings of her confession left. Ronnie brands Vincent stupid for thinking that she’d betray her family. Ronnie firmly states that she will keep hold of the gun and the drugs and reminds him that no-one likes a grass...

Billy nervously watches on as Janet auditions for the nativity in front of Mick, Dot and Elaine. Elaine praises Janet and states that they’ve found their Angel Gabriel. Billy meekly asks whether Janet could have a smaller part but Elaine is adamant that she can do it. Back at Ronnie’s, Honey is thrilled when Billy fills her in that Elaine has cast Janet as the Gabriel. Elaine shows up at Ronnie’s and promises to take good care of Janet – Billy reluctantly agrees that she can take on the role.

A lonely Cora with nowhere to go stares up at number five and the Vic – the places she used to call home. Later, Mick catches a bedraggled Cora in the Vic and reminds her that his family-run pub still involves her.

As Patrick and Denise put up decorations, Denise rants about Kim’s selfishness for selling her half of the house. Patrick despairs at Denise’s attitude.
