Next year women will no longer be barred from close combat roles in the Armed Forces. Former Brigadier Nicky Moffat, who was the most senior female officer in the army, on what it will mean for recruits and how front line roles have changed.

So can the skills of CBT, or cognitive behavioural therapy, help people cope with the emotional strains of the festive season? Clinical psychologist Christine Padesky on why she thinks the principles of CBT can help us all have a better Christmas.
