Once a ladies only and mostly American tradition, quilting is no longer exclusive, since the release of the book, The Farmers Wife 1930 Sampler Quilt by Laurie Aaron Hird last year, something quite special in the crafting community has happened and people from across the globe are being brought together through online quilt-alongs! Edinburgh based quilter Jo Avery spoke to Janice Forsyth about this new phenomenon.
