With suspicions growing, the pressure grows for Vincent. It's the Cokers' Christmas luncheon, but will Pam turn up? Linda discovers an upsetting truth.

Linda sits on her bed tending to baby Ollie whilst trying to sort out the wedding DJ. Elaine comes in with the phone; it’s about the wedding car. Elaine finds Babe rummaging through the kitchen bins for craps to feed Goosey Lucy. Elaine hands her a Christmas card that came in the post. Babe steps into the hallway to find that the card is from ‘Queenie Trott’. Linda and Mick are busy with the Coker’s Christmas luncheon, a spread put on for all of the locals each year to drum up business.

Billy and Honey encourage Les to see if Pam will attend but she declines. Billy and Honey are determined to help him. Cora enters and approaches the bar and receives a hostile reception from Babe. Linda goes to get her drink but drops the glass. Mick helps her but in her frustration she snaps at him, storming upstairs. A while later Babe spots Cora stealing food from the buffet and calls her out in front of the whole pub. Cora bites back and tells everyone the truth about Babe and Queenie; they used to sell babies. Linda is disgusted and tells Babe to leave but it becomes clear the Mick knew about this. He found out in Ramsgate and says that Babe is staying, it’s Christmas. Linda heads to the bathroom and makes herself sick.

Kim gets a fright when she finds the pig head in the fridge. On Bridge Street Vincent approaches Ronnie and assumes that she was involved with the pig head. She laughs and tells him that if she were out to get him he’d know about it. He returns home to find a truck full of turf waiting for him. Claudette asks why someone would send him grass and he gets rid of it. Later Vincent opens his door to two men in masks that attack him. Claudette and Kim push them out of the house. Claudette, Kim and Donna press Vincent to tell them what is happening. He admits that it is all coming from Phil. Claudette is fuming to find out her son is a grass and tells him he is dead to her…

Elaine visits Dot with her nativity rehearsal schedule. Dot sees how keen Elaine is and reluctantly asks if she would like to be in charge of the set. Elaine is thrilled with the idea and Dot makes it clear that it’s only the set she needs to focus on. On the market Sonia is with her choir singing Christmas carols. Elaine approaches Kush and Martin to ask them to help with building the set to which they agree. Honey tells Elaine that Janet is excited to be in the Nativity and has been practicing. In the Minute Mart Stacey and Shabnam discuss Shabnam’s appointment. Martin and Kush come in asking them to help with designing the set; Martin has attempted to draw it. It becomes clear that Stacey knows very little about the Nativity story. Martin makes a joke about Joseph asking for a DNA test which is a bit close for comfort for Kush and Stacey. Dot lends Stacey a costume for Lily and suggests she sends Lily to Sunday school to learn all about the story of Jesus. She gets out Nick’s old Children’s Bible and gives it to her. Having organised the set Elaine approaches Dot again asking for another task. Dot sees how desperate she is to get involved and agrees that she can be the director but she wants the final say on everything. At home Lily asks Stacey to read her the nativity book that Dot gave her.

Shirley visits Denise who is packing things away for when the builders arrive in the New Year. Shirley tells her that Jade is moving in next week. They decide to have a drink but are interrupted when Kathy arrives with Denise’s Christmas tree. Shirley introduces herself and asks her to have a drink with them. Shirley tells her what Ben did to Heather and Jordan. Denise lets slip that she is thinking of making contact with Jordan and Shirley is shocked.
