Stacey learns a shocking truth. Mick reels from Linda's bombshell - is everything about to fall apart for the Carters? Vincent issues Ronnie a threat she can't ignore.

A nervous Stacey sits at home, convinced that her stalker is out there. She talks to Martin who tries to reassure her - he tells her he once had a stalker. When Stacey plucks up the courage to leave the flat, she’s shocked to be tapped on the back by Jean and Ollie, visiting for their early Christmas dinner. Back at the flat, Jean raises her concerns about Stacey’s decision to have a home birth, but Stacey stands firm.

After Jean apologises, Stacey opens up to Jean about her fear that she has stalker, Jean brushes off her concerns, claiming it’s probably nothing. Stacey is convinced Jean knows who’s following her. When Ollie spills of a man who kept attempting to visit Jean, Jean finally places the key that Stacey used to wear around her neck, on the table. Jean confesses that the key opens a safe belonging to Stacey’s father but promises her, that if she opens it, she’ll regret it. A determined Stacey leaves to go to the bank to see what’s inside the safe; Martin insists that Kush goes with her. Stacey finally opens the box and is fuming when she discovers that it is empty. Back at the flat, Jean finally opens up and tells a wound up Stacey that her father had another family...

Mick looks heartbroken on the sofa as Linda reinforces the wedding is definitely off. Mick apologises for not telling her about Babe’s murky past - Babe listens to this exchange from the landing. Linda suggests that she is worried that they can’t afford the wedding. Mick wonders if she is putting the wedding off because of Johnny or Lee. Linda assures him it’s about the money but Mick isn’t convinced. Mick thinks they should tell the family at lunch today and heads out for some air. As Lee and Whitney set the table for lunch, Lee’s taken aback to find a Qur’an. Linda asks Elaine about the Nativity as Mick tries to talk about the wedding being cancelled. Lee tells Nancy he found Qur’an and asks if she is becoming a Muslim. Nancy states that her decision is not about marriage or conversion; she wants to understand how Tamwar sees the World. Mick is surprised at Linda’s lack of objection to Nancy’s decision. Mick tries to get Linda to tell them that the wedding is off but she heads out to make coffee. Mick snatches the kettle from Linda. He demands to know why she has called the wedding off and asks what is wrong with her.

Kathy sees Jane struggling with her hip and advises she sees a doctor; Jane covers that she has. Kathy attempts to talk to Ben and Abi but they’re both dismissive and leave to visit Cora. Kathy talks to Roxy and advises her that she shouldn’t stand for how Dean is treating her. When Dean arrives and bosses Roxy about, Kathy gives Dean a knowing look – she’s on to him. Later, Dean approaches Kathy in the square and tells her that Roxy’s informed him of her bad-mouthing him. Ben intervenes and Kathy sincerely thanks him. Kathy apologises to Ben for suggesting that he’s struggling with his sexuality. They have a heart to heart about Paul – Ben admits he likes him.

Shirley catches Denise staring at her laptop in the Minute Mart and discovers that she’s received an email with a visiting order to see Lucas. Shirley begs Denise to reconsider, but Denise claims that she’s doing it for Jordan.

Shabnam tells Kush that she’s got an appointment with the Doctor next week regarding blood test results. He hugs her and tells her that whatever happens they’ll get through it together.

As she watches Vincent pack his car to leave, Claudette tells Vincent that she’s sorry and that she still loves him. Vincent warns Ronnie that if she plays with his family, he’ll play with hers. In the Arches, Phil hands Ben paperwork that he asks him to give over to Ritchie – claiming Vincent’s a grass and he doesn’t want to risk his paper trail being found. Later, Ronnie firmly tells Phil to stop the games with Vincent.
