Chaochaill Murdina agus E脿irdsidh Mac a' Phearsain, an dithis chloinne agus athair Murdina, Calum Caimbeul.

Bha Calum, a bha 67, ainmeil mar ph矛obaire agus tidsear p矛obaireachd agus bha e cuideachd air fuinn a sgr矛obhadh e fh猫in. Cha t脿inig e am follais ge-t脿 na bha e air sgr矛obhadh gus an do th貌isich a mhac Niall air an obair dhuilich a bhith dol tro na gnothaichean aige.

Dh'fh脿s an c脿rn de ph脿ipearan le fuinn agus notaichean mu chuid de na sgeulachdan a bha air am brosnachadh, agus thar nam bliadhnaichean dh'aithnich Niall gun robh luach phr矛seil nan l霉ib.

Lean MacTV an teaghlach air an turas gus an leabhar a thoirt gu buil, agus seo agaibh an cuid sgeulachd - Ce貌l Chaluim.

Who in the Western Isles could ever forget the terrible events of January 2005, when three generations of the same family lost their lives in one brutal stroke as they tried to flee the storm that was battering the islands. Murdina and Archie MacPherson and their two children all perished, as did Murdina's father, Calum Campbell.

Calum, who was 67, was well known as a piper and piping instructor and had also composed some tunes. The sheer number of them did not become clear until his son Niall embarked on the difficult task of sorting through his father's effects. The pieces of paper with tunes and notes of the some of the stories that had inspired them grew, and over the years Niall realised that this was something very special.

As 2015 approached, the family wanted to find a way of creating a positive memory for the family and the community, and so the idea to create a book of Calum's tunes was first mooted. MacTV followed the family's journey as they make the book a reality, and this is their story.
