Author Amy Liptrot on her stunning first book The Outrun, a memoir about how returning to Orkney helped her recover from alcoholism. For many book critics it's already one of the highlights of 2016.

The Scottish Women's Hospitals Exhibition- a new exhibition of previously unseen works by the late, great Scottish painter, John Bellany, go on display at the Parliament in Edinburgh from today - Janice hears about it from John's widow and daughter-in-law.

We'll hear from India's youngest ever Oscar nominee, writer-director, Ashvin Kumar, who's in the UK to cast his latest film.

There's a preview of tonight's National Television Awards from critic Jane Graham, who'll also stay on to talk about 主播大秀 Three's hard-hitting and remarkable drama, Murdered by My Boyfriend, which gets another screening tonight on the channel. The young lead actress, Georgina Campbell, beat the likes of Sarah Lancashire and Sheridan Smith to the Leading Actress BAFTA last year.

The exhibition Bad Entertainment opens at the Scottish National Portrait Gallery in Edinburgh at the end of the month. The artists are young people from across Scotland who've been working with the National Galleries of Scotland Outreach team to create artworks or films that show how their everyday lives and communities connect with the fantasy world of media culture. One of the artists Jasper Williams, and Robin Baillie, from the NGS Outreach team tell us more.
