Len Goodman takes natural historian, presenter and writer Steve Backshall back to the wilds of Dorset to reminisce about his adventure holiday from 1982.

First up Len surprises Steve by picking him up in an Austin Princess - similar to the one he would have travelled in back in 1982 and that's where the memories start flooding back. They start the holiday by erecting a tent - yes, there was no hotel or B&B for the Backshalls, they liked their holidays under canvas! Steve proves his adventure prowess by putting up the tent in super quick time.

Then whilst roaming the nature reserves of Dorset, Steve talks to Len about how his love for nature and the outside world began on holidays like this. They find wild British snakes, get their feet wet in the rock pools looking for crabs and other beasties and then sit down for a well-deserved vintage lunch! Over an open fire Steve rustles up some bangers and Len treats our natural historian to the food of his childhood: Angel Delight - butterscotch flavour of course. They even find time to test their skills at Archery where the competitive side of Steve comes out - but is he a match for Len Goodman - the Robin Hood of Kent?

Along the way we get an insight into Steve's amazing career which includes presenting wildlife shows for kids and adults as well as writing natural history books. We also delve into what made this holiday so memorable for a young Steve Backshall.
