It's estimated that some 6,000 people in Wales will - in their lifetime - seek medical or surgical support to change their gender.

It can be a difficult journey, made harder still by the system of referral here in Wales, described by transgender campaigners as "contorted" and 5 to 10 years behind the systems in England and Scotland.

This week's Eye on Wales speaks to two young transgender people about what it is like to grow up in a body that doesn't feel right and finds out how easy it is to get treatment if you are a trans person living in Wales.
