Each week, as well as picking key new releases and classics from the UK, USA, Jamaica and beyond, Don highlights a cherished album from his own collection. He explains why it means so much to him and features three key tracks. This week it's Motown Chartbusters Volume 3 released in 1969.

Don says, "I'd normally avoid picking compilations as 'Crucial Vinyl' because it feels a bit like cheating, but this is daddy of a comp. In my early teens it sat alongside 'Tighten Up' Volume 2 as part of the soundtrack to the emerging skinhead scene, and I'm talking about the fashion version not the fascist version. This must-have selection features the best of the Tamla Motown stable at the height of their careers.
