The big stories of the day, including the news that Chris Evans is leaving Top Gear after one series. And a Ukip MEP discusses who should take over from Nigel Farage.

After just one series - Chris Evans is leaving Top Gear. Audience figures have been dwindling under the new format, and he says his resignation is "the single best thing he can now do to help the cause". Phil speaks to the original Top Gear Stig, Perry McCarthy to get his reaction.

UKIP Leader Nigel Farage has also resigned from his post today. We speak to a UKIP MEP to find out who should take over.

Phil is joined by Steve Holden and Greg Cochrane for Back Row, discussing the week in entertainment news, in particular looking back at Caroline Aherne's career.

And have you got what it takes to be a football mascot? Partick Thistle are looking for a fan to step into the shoes of their spiky yellow mascot, Kingsley, and they need them to be able to 'convey complex messages' with just their hands!
