Another chance to hear a special half hour of Out of Doors as Euan and Mark climb Ben Wyvis with a mountain legend. David "Heavy" Whalley MBE was a member of the RAF Mountain Rescue for 36 years.

Over his career he was involved in over 1000 mountain incidents as well as being the senior team leader at the Lockerbie disaster.

Heavy is still an active walker and climber, getting out every week, so Euan and Mark took the chance to catch up with him in his natural habitat, up the side of a mountain in the Highlands. He gives them very open, honest accounts of his experiences many of which are very moving.

And between 0700 and 0800...
Euan gets a sneak preview of the six trees to make it to the final of the Woodland Trust's Scottish Tree of the Year competition.

Claire is up in Ullapool with Bernard Planterose, a self-taught builder and designer who has created a network of huts in his woodland home.

Mark has been across in Canada where he visited Mount Royal Park in Montreal and took a tour with H茅l猫ne Pana茂oti from the park to find out about its history and importance to the city.

It's not exactly Hawaii but Emily Esson braved the weather to go surfing in Sandend on the Banffshire Coast and found that it really doesn't have to be sunny to surf but it isn't as easy as it looks.
